About Electrical and Hybrid Propulsion System

Incorporating the advanced maritime propulsion technology, our cutting-edge systems can be specifically designed for naval vessels such as Aircraft Carriers, Battleships, Cruisers, Destroyers, Frigates, Submarines, Corvettes, Mine Countermeasure Vessels, Amphibious Assault Ships and Patrol Boats as well as hybrid vessels.

With a focus on sustainability, this system can incorporate green energy components such as solar power and advanced lithium-ion batteries, allowing naval vessels to operate with reduced emissions, contributing to a more environmentally conscious fleet. At its core, a diesel generator ensures a continuous and reliable power source, enabling consistent operation even in the most challenging maritime environments.

Designed for various naval vessels, including corvettes, we may ensure that our propulsion system prioritizes maximum payload capacity, economical operation, and mission-critical reliability. The seamless coordination between different power sources guarantees optimal efficiency, allowing naval vessels to carry out their missions with enhanced endurance and performance. The advanced battery technology also ensures quiet and vibration-free propulsion, supporting stealth capabilities during critical naval operations.

Battery Energy Storage Systems

BESS are rechargeable batteries that can store energy and feed the grid when needed. We undertake electrical system design, battery sizing, calculation and selection based on operating profile of vessel, supply of battery and battery management system, energy management system.

Drive Solutions

We are also engaged in design, manufacture, supply, installation and commissioning of Air cooled and Liquid cooled Drive Systems based on the applications and vessel specifications meeting various classification society requirements.

An air-cooled drive system

Typically refers to a type of cooling mechanism used in electronic drives or systems, where air is used as the medium to dissipate heat generated during operation. This is commonly seen in various electronic devices, including electric motors, power inverters, and other components that generate heat during their functioning.

A liquid-cooled drive system

This system involves the use of a liquid coolant to dissipate heat generated by electronic components during operation. This cooling method is employed in various devices, such as electric drives, power electronics, and high-performance computing systems, where air cooling may not be sufficient to manage the heat generated.

Motors and Alternators

We supply a wide range of permanent magnet motors and alternators for the above system. We are also focusing on developing other innovative motors such as E-Pod Motors, D.C. Motors, and Green Energy Propulsion Motors. Our subsidiary, Narhari Engineering Works is one of the renowned manufacturers of electric motors and control panels from India. Our motor and associated products comply with Indian, International and naval engineering standards.
